Vlog 1
Hi, my name is Alisoun Payne, and I’m with the group site named Campus Popcorn. We will cover arts and culture, specific to the demographic of those attending university in BC.
My editorial focus will be on culture, and my first project will focus on how the international student population of TRU has changed the culture of Kamloops, with a questioning lens towards what changes may come with the introduction of the decrease in student visas available, imposed by the federal government.
My second project will focus on the X, campus community radio station here at TRU. I want to talk about the global network of community radio, and what a resource we have here at the campus with CFBX. When I worked there as a volunteer last winter, I did an interview with a Canadian indigenous music duo called Burnstick, so I will feature some of that audio for my sound bytes.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do for my video project yet, but I still have some time to figure that out, so hopefully that’s ok.
Ok, thanks for listening!
